Title: Siemens controller
Post by: deew2525 on November 19, 2019, 05:26:12 PM
G200 ...3rd burning season
Anyone ever seen this??? went to load stove checked controller..... Stove calling for heat water temp at 159 & damper position at 7%....filled stove  came back 30 mins later siemens controller still at 7% & water temp lower. I cut power off and restarted and the controller took off & worked like it should. This is the second time this has happened it did same thing last year. It's like the controller is stuck and my guess it would never change from 7% and eventually the fire would go out. Might just be a fluke thing.

Check and make sure the damper plate is free and moves easily. ATF works pretty well as a lubricant. I’ve had em stick and after cleaning you have to power cycle the controller much like a modem or router.

Like Marty said. The controller displays whatever percent the damper is open. So whatever you see on the screen is what it is at, not what it's trying to open to.

I had cleaned the plate in the off season but guess it got hung. I sprayed some ATF on it so hope no more issues. Was concerned it may be Siemens controller. Thanks for the info.
