I have a MF-5000, how do I oil the fan?

I have a MF-5000, am I supposed to oil the fan?
How do you gogo about doing that?

Mizzou 71 where are you located, I am in Kirksville Mo. and I have a MF 5000 and love it. By the way you dont oil your fan.

I am in Willard, Mo. Just north of Springfield. I Love this furnace! I am still learning, but I will get it figured out. Thanks for the info!

Ben, one of the main reasons I was able to build my own was this forum.  Lots of help from the smart folks here.   :thumbup:

There is a hole at bottom and top of fan motor that should be oiled every 3 or so months. I didnt know this at first and burnt up my first fan after bout year and half or so. My dealer said he didnt know about oiling them at the time either. He brought me a oil bottle that had small extendable nozzle on it that fit into hole.

I think just the older ones need oiled.

what type of oil are you using?

I have some "turbine" oil I use on electric motors, is paraffin based and not supposed to get sticky when it dries out, a furnace guy told me non detergent lightweight motor oil can also be used.

what type of oil are you using?

 google zoom spout oiler, (i have no idea how to put links on here or i would). But this is what my dealer gave me when he replaced my fan. And it may just be the older ones, mine is a 2010 model.
