....to starting the OWB!
Here's tomorrow nights forecast:
THURSDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY. COOLER WITH LOWS IN THE MID 30S. NORTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH DIMINISHING TO AROUND 5 MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT.
Being at 2000 ft that means lower 30's......

-
A damp 46 at my house this morning!
-

Yeah,
Only have to cut, split, stack, hook up my dhw exchanger, switch the thermostat back over....crap! I gotta go get busy

Never shut mine down........all my hot water and hot tub @ 102 all summer. Just put in a 35,000 gal in ground gunite pool which we filled over labor day weekend. I was swimming in the 60 degree water while it was filling. Hooked her up to the CB6048 and it's been 85 degrees ever since :) I burned about 6 splits every 24 to 48 hours during the summer so it was easy on the wood. Did I tell you folks I HATE burning propane? With the pool hooked up, I burn about a boiler full of wood a day........but it is well worth it. This weekend will tell the story of how much it will take when the temp drops.......suppose to be 50's and high of 60's around here.

She was 42 this morning :o
I have about 3 or 4o more days work on moms house then it is time to go crazy cutting and splitting.
Looks like it is supposed to warm back up into next week .

Enjoy hearing all the enthusiasm for cooler weather!
Tomorrow morning, I will tie my "million dollar" propane furnace to the heat exchanger. Still left to do, is run electric wires through conduit to OWB. If I can stay the course, first fire tentatively scheduled for Sunday!
As I expected, all kinds of things keep coming up to take me away from "the project". There is light at the end of the tunnel, though....
Will recruit "Jr" for picture taking ceremony when complete.
Thank-you all, esp. Ridgekid, for the inspiration!!!

Wow Bill! You've come a long way! Hope you make your start-up date and looking forward to the pics!
Our weather station reported it was 38.8F at 6AM this morning. That will make the leaves start changing!

Run mine all summer for DWH. Just burned scrap wood limbs and such. Dosn't burn much wood durning summer months. Did shut down long enough to drain and flush, and put new gasket on door.
-
Man it didn't even make it to 60* today. :-\
I dont want to fire up the boiler yet,but I am sure getting tempted to if mother nature doesn't straighten up
-
I'll fire mine back up in a couple weeks..Had a low of 43F this morning...Already snowed in the White Mtns in NH as of last night!
