My son and I Lit off my homemade gasifier tonight at 6:10pm with water at 57*
We just got done running a cut down flue pipe brush through my stoves heat exchanger pipes, and then blew it all out with the leaf blower >:D
They are calling for a high in the 50's for the rest of the week and lows into the thirtys. Then rain for the next day or so.So I figured I might as well fire her up so we have some heat and to get rid of any dampness.
My son scraped all the rear access covers cleaned and then we put high temp rtv on them and buttoned it up.I let him use the propane torch and get her fire started
I reckon I shall go out in a while and see how she doing.Oh and the ups man brought me a box full of goodys I will have to share.
catch ya all later

Like jackel440 I am not that fond of winter setting in but it is going to happen anyway. LOL I am going to have to drive up your way jackel440 to see your setup in person sometime.

Looks like Tuesday evening will be when I cave to the pressures of happy wife syndrome and light 'er up. The stove, not the wife. Although..............
Nah, I haven't watched enough CSI to get away with it.
yep, gonna have to happen. Winter sucks, but I love my fire stove

It's a done deal. Stoked her up and running like a champ. Still not sure on the hot water, should have gone bigger on the hx. I'll craigslist some stuff and buy a bigger one I suppose. I'm in for the season. Wave as the propane man drives by!
