Do you run your circulating pump continous or by thermostat? Thanks
-
Continuous, to many advantages to list
-
Continuous
-
I have a plate exchanger DWH runs all the time....Instant smoking hot water...
-
The pump on our OWB runs 24/7. We use a sidearm to heat water and it works much better with the pump runing all the time.
-
Continuous ( When unit is in operation)
On timer during summer months (2 hours/day)
-
Same here
-
pump runs 24hrs seven days a week until I shut it down for the summer months...

24\7\365. I even run it in the summer to keep the corrosion down.
-
Thermostat........My house gets too hot otherwise. Tried the continous for the first season.

May I ask how your house gets hotter just because your pump is running?

You may...the short answer is I had to flip my circulator pump to solve some problems I encountered after I added my second loop. This solved the problem but pushed water into my family room loop continuously as well....so I added a thermostat in my family room to control my circulator pump and everything has great since.

So u have radiant?? Surely it has it's own zone valve/pump??

No, hot water baseboard throughout. By reversing the flow...return now a supply...not sure why, but my family room (loop closest to my new supply) would get considerably warmer then the rest of my house.
