That looks awesome! One thing we notice whenever we insulate a home built boiler- you can't hardly put too much on top of the boiler. 180* water really likes to radiate upward. We usually put at least a foot on top- with the first layer being foil backed.

we have R-30 all around.  Going to put leftover insulation on top.  All of that will be wrapped in the foil/bubble insulation, and then the steel siding.  do you think the foil insulation should be put on first or wrap all other insulation with it.  My thought was put it on last to help encapsulate all the heat?  Hopefully be up and running by next weekend.

it sounded good at the time . no serise i put the foil down first becouse it would mold around the water chamber better and this way i am not compressing the r30 insulation   this is one of the mods i will do this summer put more on the top

We figured that the foil might reflect heat down if installed first. Probably six of one or half dozen of the other. It has to be a good feeling for you knowing that you are this close!
