I talked to a dealer today, wanted 6600 for a central boiler 5036. Then when we get to the extras, I notice things sound a lil high, like 300 for a water to water heat exchanger and such, would i be better off to buy this stuff online or just pay a lil extra to have the dealer set it all up.

I think it would be a good place to look for some deals. Just watch the brand name and make sure you're getting the same model numbers for everything.

We were talking about saw chain the other day at work and one of the guys said he buys chains from some mail order outfit. He forgot the name of the company but he's supposed to bring me in a catalog. We both have Stihl saws. I have an 18" bar and I think he said he has a 20"er. I usually but Stihl chains as I need them (usually go through at least one a year) for about $26 apiece. This guy claims his are $7 apiece and they are just as good. He said they also offer bulk chain where you'd make your own chains up off of a big spool. I'm not sold yet but he presented a convincing argument. Point is, I'm sure there are many ways to save money by purchasing things online or from catalogs. A little legwork can save a bundle sometimes.

The website I was referring to in my earlier post is Bailey's. They have EVERYTHING!! I found it the other night and spent a couple hours just looking around. All kinds of stuff.
