Title: figuring head
Post by: pennyrilehunter on March 04, 2012, 04:58:25 PM
Looking for info on figuring head on a OWB system I'm wanting to install.  Does anyone have any numbers on how many equivalent feet to add for 1 inch tees, elbows, full port ball valves, unions, 24x24 heat ex, 12x12 heat ex, and 20 plate.

Many thanks
James

The plate manufacturers should have their own info for the plate you choose.  Along with that very good link above, goto the Taco Flo-pro videos and there will be tons of design and sizing how 2's to watch. Figure the actual gpm required for your heat load, determine pipe size, calculate headloss and pump sizing options. primary secondary piping.   Having the best equipment doesn't mean anything if its not designed and piped correctly. Good Luck
