Title: New 2nd job = free wood and money
Post by: chadley on April 23, 2012, 10:27:56 AM
I just picked up a 2nd job working for a local tree service.  They want the wood gone so i take it and use it to heat my house plus get paid to work for them.  Nice perk of the job.  I love the work and get wood and money for doing what I enjoy.  Can't beat it.

I have considered many times doing the same thing. I have a trailer that will hold over a cord. Can you imagine bringing that home loaded every day?

I don't bring home wood EVERY day but when I do... its a dump truck load. ;D  I get paid to load the dump truck and with a push of a button, its unloaded.  Not much manual labor on my part after its loaded.  I'm really going to enjoy this job.  Good working atmosphere on top of the wood perk.

Sounds to me that Chadley wins the wood war.  I have access to all the free wood I want, but I sure heck don't get paid as well.  You are my new hero, Chadley.

I suppose you have someone to stack for you too.  I hope not, you would probably get paid for that.  I'm so freakin' jealous!

In my spare time, I have a Woodmizer sawmill,  so yeah double duty.  Getting paid to saw lumber and taking the slab, away at a premium, to burn in my OWS. It takes a lot of wood to keep my 4000sf garage/shop heated.
