Title: Unknown furnace
Post by: CycloneChris on May 06, 2012, 09:54:04 AM
My family and I recently bought a home outside of Decorah, Iowa and it has an OWB.  It has been here for about 6 years and seems to work well.  The previous owner did not buy anything local when building this home, and the same goes for the OWB.  He says he bought it from a friend in Wisconsin who builds them.  There is no brand name, no serial number, no identification of any kind.  All I know is that it is big, stainless steel and must be enclosed in a shed. ( it is not one of them that can stand alone outside) I'm trying to locate the manufacturer so i can get some tips on how it works.

Can someone help me, or is this like trying to find a needle in a haystack?

Or does it matter who built it?

Can you post some pictures of it? They are mostly pretty much the same how they operate for any brand with a few small thing different.

I'll do that later today and post it in this thread.

Sounds like a homemade OWB when you said "he bought it from a friend who builds them"..you would think if its factory built there would be a serial # or something
