I need a little help from you plumbers / installers. I have mostly Wex fittings, the off brand shark bites, and have another leak again this year when I let the fire die off. I am going to barbed fittings with a crimp ring. Where do I get the biggest selection at reasonable prices? I am not a licensed plumber, so I cannot go to the wholesale house. Lowes, Menards, Home Depot? I am in mid-Michigan USA. Done with the slipon connectors. the more expensive brass ones leak worse than the plastic.
I need to replace shut off valves, unions, and threaded. I want quality, I am not doing this a fourth time.

Menards in lansing prob has the fittings you are looking for. But I'm not 100% on them having 1" fittings but I would try calling them i know they have the style you are looking for just not positive on the diamater.

I just did a little looking online it looks like menards doesent stock pex fittings big enough but they can order them. I have special ordered many things from them and never had any problems and got my order quickly good luck.

Our nearest Menards has a huge selection of PEX up to 1". If you need a crimper price around. I think I remember getting my best deal at Lowes. I used some plastic barbed fittings but I worry about the heat affecting them. I have seen some chatter online about the brass corroding and leaking but if your water is right and doesn't eat the boiler I don't see it having any effect on the brass. Also you should call around to the supply houses if the big box don't have what you want. I have found that all of our local houses will sell to the public as long as its not HVAC units. I have been to LEES, South Central, and plumbers supply with no problems.

Did you try outdoor boiler dealers around you? I sell most of them for less than Menards so they probably do too.

I got all sharkbite brand fittings, not the push on but the crimp on ones from home depot for a good price and they had everything on the shelf including the crimpers and ss crimp rings. I have never used pex before and i didnt have 1 leak and they are a breeze to use.
