I live in NE North Carolina and this has been about the hottest summer on record.
I am so READY to fire up my Legend!!!

Easy Now !!!!! Old farts like me can wait.......Cutting and splitting is hard work. The less I burn, the better. If you are so gung ho, come on up to NH and cut and split my firewood....

As my late dad used to say - "I ain't afraid of work - I can sit next to it all day and not move." Even though I enjoy the OWB, it wouldn't bother me if the winter was easy on us again.

Yeah Im getting itchy..Cant wait till the fall! Fav time of the yr.....Oct she will be fired back up.. Got some pics to post as well built a 16x 32 pole shed last month..2 years worth of wood it will hold... I do have some pics on the "other sight" posted

I'm getting excited also! Even though I still have quite a bit of cutting to do still. I plan on having my garage heated off of the OWB this year so I can quit paying the propane man!

I'm certainly getting ichy as well hear in NY. Thinking about the chilly mornings, frost in the air, smoking out the stack and watching with a big cup of coffee!

Let's not get hasty boys! I prefer to look at it like a fireman. I would just as soon have the equipment and not have to use it. I love my owb, but could get by using it as a lawn ornament.

you guy's should get a pool and heat it with your burners like i did you get the best of both worlds

took the cog railway to the top of Mt. Washington NH this past sat (8-12-12)..The temp up there was 47F..It was 80F in North Conway lol..It reminded me.. yup OWB will be fired up soon lol.. Mt Washington is 6,288 ft up

My rule of thumb of when to fire up and shut down the OWB: Start of moose hunting seasong to the start of spring turkey hunting season.......

I just finished installing a boiler that I have been working on for nearly a year. So I had to fire it up just to watch it run. I did use it to heat my domestic water for about two weeks. Just shut it down:( . Bring on the cold. ;D

I just came in from cutting on a huge pile of old butt ends I hauled in two years ago from a neighbor who had his woods logged. I have a lot of stuff that isnt going to last more than another year or two so I am getting pretty anxious to get mine fired up. I just hooked up a plate exchanger on the water heater a couple of weeks ago which is another reason I am getting antsy.
