Title: Heating an above ground pool
Post by: woodfuel on September 29, 2012, 07:44:19 PM
Hi owb members! I just hooked our owb to our 24' above ground pool. I will post pics when i have time. Does anybody have a pool hooked up, and if so can you post pics of your lines, exchanger, t-stat, etc? Thanks in advance.

I heat an indoor 16'x36' pool all year round with my 6048.  Works great.  I used a shell in tube exchanger, titanium for the salt water.  A 3-way valve controlled by two thermostates.  One monitors the pool water and the other is a safety and monitors the return boiler line so if it is getting to cold it shuts down the pool heater as I do not want this running the boiler down; house gets priority.
