Looks like I am 95% sure I will purchase the Hawken HE2100.
After a lot of research and talking to several different dealers (Burnrite, Central,Natures Comfort etc.)
And owners of some of these brands , and issues they had with their dealers.
I am getting the best feeling from the Hawken dealer and the company.
Looked at quite a few different units and this seems to be the best built in my opinion.

Good luck. Last year there was several pages of hawken complaints and like poof they were gone...

I remember a thread with complaints about a customer and his gasifier furnace. Was that the same model as this one? There was also some stuff about a guy who had a Global Hydronics unit that was sold by Hawken. That guy was a little nuts.
I love my Hawken. I heat my 2200 square foot farm house with it. I use more wood than I expected but it's half of what it would cost to fill up my two fuel oil tanks so I'm happy. I've had no troubles with the unit in the 2.5 years I've owned it.

I am happy with mine. I plan on starting it up tomorrow for the 6th season. Even though I am at, or a little beyond the rated capacity, I have never had trouble going 14hrs between fills during the coldest part of winter. I heat my house, dhw, and keep the garage at 60, which means she does have a healthy appitite for wood. Last year I ended up at 10 full cord even with the mild winter, but typically burn 12+. Knowing what I know now, and if todays gassers were around 6 years ago, I would have gone in that direction. That said, simplicity does have a value and these standard boilers are simple! Good luck with your purchace, just don't skimp on the install especially the underground part.
