Well it was out when I got home from work so I changed the pulse to 20 minutes for 30 sections with a 7 degree variable, hopefully that will do it

I was in the same situation as you John. Mine was going out with the factory settings. I changed my pulse settings too, 15 min 50 sec of air was good til the firestar controller ( which has a glitch in it ) fried my primary solenoid. Now I'm waiting for a new controller and solenoid. The issue was when in idle the controller was still allowing 20 +- volts to hit the solenoid causing it to slowly heat up and eventually burn it out. I only had it running for two weeks. Its a brand new unit. Controller will be here in 3-4 days. Good thing it's not too cold yet.

Mine did the exact same thing I purchased it last year brand new and after a week it died, it took a week for the new display to come in they replaced it and the solenoid

Out again this morning I hate to set the pulse at every 15 minutes it seems like a lot lol but I am almost there

Is your wood seasoned? Mine would go all day at factory settings but for some reason would go out over night. I relit it in the morning and would still be running when I came home from work. After 2 days of that I changed the settings and all ran well for 12 days then on the 13th day it went south.

I am burning seasoned pine, my last adjustments might have done it it was running good temps when I got home from work at 7 pm

Early Fall or late Spring under light call for heat, I run my pulse for 50 seconds every 15 minutes. Never goes out.

Due to a death in the family I've had the week off form work so I've been preparing for the heating season. On Friday I'll be firing up my owb. I believe my fall and spring pulse settings were 40sec every 10 minutes but I'll have to look at my documentation. I have to write everything down. I find as I get older, memory cells disappear.
