Title: I started my mf 3000 and started mixing coal with wood can't believe the burn

Fired up my MF 3000 last weekend this is my second season still kind of learning the ropes. Bought a ton of coal to mix with wood really makes for longer burn time anyone else. Using. Coal The hot showers are worth it

I burn straight coal. Would never go back to wood.

How much coal do you use & what type of coal do you use the coal iam using is about the size of a golf ball but has a lot of dust mixed in I paid $ 250 a ton I throw a few Rounds of wood in and 2 small flat shovel of coal burns really good thick gray smoke when on first burn normal after that. I live in thaxton Virginia

I burned quite  a bit last year. like 15 ton. but i was loosing allot of heat in the ground. redid  my lines hoping for allot less this year.  i work in the mines an get it. its met coal for steel, cleaned an no dust. its like pea coal. Mine smokes very little only when you first fire it.
