Just went to auction where somebody paid 5000 for a three yr old 5036 central boiler.  Are there new owbs priced less than that ?

I don't know about their prices but I was thinking they are about 10k new.
I'm sure someone else will chime in soon with a price.

Central Boiler posts their furnace prices on their www.centralboiler.com (http://www.centralboiler.com) website.
Looks like the CL5036 could have been bought new today for $6,510.
I guess they must hold there value very well.

That does seem high but if it is compared to EPA unit at 10k

Yes they do hold value very well considering most owners have no issues with them other than the occasional pump or door rope replacement.

At a fair a few weeks ago I was quoted $8300 for a EPA 2 Heatmor unit itself.. So ya call it 10K for a new EPA 2 boiler
