Title: bending ThemoPex easier
Post by: 2muchtime on October 04, 2009, 04:24:30 AM
Has anyone tried heating this thermopex underground  line to make it bend easier. Thought about a heat gun or pail of hot water.

It can be a real pain to work with, not that it's much help to you at this time a year, but I found laying it out in the sun on a warm day helped.

Be careful if you use a heat gun.  It's really suck to melt a hole in the middle of a hundred foot run of hose.   :o

havent installed any yet but it seems to me one of those torpedo heaters would work preaty well.  lots of heat and could do a large section of pipe at a time . just make sure you dont get to close, we use a culvert and this heater to heat up moulding and bend around circle top windows.
