Title: Heating tile
Post by: mruss on November 30, 2012, 12:17:42 PM
Can I plumb some type of tubing and attach it to the subfloor and put some insullation where we have tile.  We installed out OWF a little more than a month ago and love it.  I didn't think about asking about this type of installation at that time.

Of course you can!...They call it radiant heating..Basically your installing pex piping under your floor between your joists

They make aluminum strips you attach between the joist and snap pex into, would have considered it when I replaced my baseboards but didn't want to spend that much time in the crawl space.
