Title: Can I add a thermometer to my H2?
Post by: Brauma on December 27, 2012, 03:37:17 PM
I happened to see an H4 the other day while driving so I swung in and talked to the guy. He took off the cover and showed me the back. I noticed that he has a thermometer mounted near the top center. I didn't ask him about it at the time but I thought there must be a plug that can be removed on mine. I got home and inspected mine and I don't see a plug or anything like that.

Can I add a thermometer to my old H2? I have a 1990 model. I'd like to be able to verify that the aguastat is working properly.

Thanks

Easiest way is probably to just replace your aquastat with a Ranco controller.

X2.  The newer ones have places for thermostats but I'm not sure about the old ones.

Sorry, my iPad corrected thermometer to thermostat lol but yeah, just get a Ranco and be done with it.
