Post by: woodshaper67 on January 08, 2013, 07:33:10 PM
I have built my own air handler and now it is time for a thermostat.I want to use a low voltage thermostat to control just my blower which is 120v.Does anyone know what control relay I need? I have been looking at the honeywell relays but Im not sure which one I need. Thank You to anyone that can help.

We sell fan center relays, I don't know a lot about them though.  I usually use a lux thermostat on home made air handlers

I'm using 5 fan center relays from Central Boiler.  They've worked great.  Part # 515 in their catalog.  24V.  That along with Part # 8200008,  24V digital thermostat.  For 5 years now, these have worked flawlessly for me.  Both items run about $35 ea.  They also offer a programmable 24V thermostat.

Yes a fan center is exactly what you need. They are very simple to wire up and have a relay and transformer already built in.
