Title: How to run the plumbing?

Hi I'm new to the forum and just started looking into purchasing an owb. I know that when putting in the water lines they must be below the frost line but I was wondering how I will get them into my house? my basement floor is pretty much level with the ground outside, so does this mean it would have to run under the outside wall then up thru my floor in the basement or can it come out of the ground then through the outside wall? Sorry if this is a crazy question but it is on I havnt found an answer for yet.

You can come out of the ground and go through the wall, just make some type of little structure around where the line comes out to protect it from uv damage and a potential freeze

As far as line depth, it varies....   If you live in an area like me where if we go down 24-36" we hit water, you don't want your pipe laying in water all the time...  But when installing, I'd go as deep as I could as long as the soil was dry..  Often times I'm limited to only going 12-18" deep

My lines angle up out of the ground and straight into the house no problems so far, kind of unsightly though.  If you wanted to make it look cleaner you could come up against the house put in a 90 to go thru the wall and insulate/cover it well.(I think someone one here has that setup)

If the pipes come out of the ground to go into the house they would run a high risk of freezing if the owb went out on a cold day correct?

Would depend on the quality of the lines, I have the foam filled type and it doesn't melt the snow that lands on it.  So I don't have much fear of the lines freezing especially with the pump running.

Yes I can get you some pics of my lines coming out and going above ground, ive left in zero weather and no freeze, I've got 3 wrap and snow will lay on my lines as well..
