Title: hardy h4 grates
Post by: DaveWertz on March 04, 2013, 07:05:37 PM
Anybody have any experiance or know anyone who had shaker grates then switched to using regular grates? Im asking because I have shaker grates and want to get regular grates and need to know if its as simple as removing the shakers and putting new in. I dont know if there is a difference in the layout of the two. i.e- if there will be spacing issues.

Well just decided that I am going to get rid of the shaker grates and the frame the sit on. Im going to a 3 grate system. If anybody knows where I can get a good deal on the grates let me know. If you know anyone that would be interested in the shaker grate system also let me know.

Everything that I have read about the H-4 non shaker, has 6 grates and 2 C-channel and one I-beam. The used one I bought has 2 I-beams and 3 grates. It was made in 1996. Any body else have this set up, Is this right?
