Title: leaking hardy water stove - can you repair?
Post by: gottaleak on April 01, 2013, 05:21:06 PM
We purchased our Hardy outdoor water stove late summer of 2009. We've had one thing after the other go wrong since our first winter with it but it's still limping along. We are looking for a reliable, experienced, honest repair person who can either fix our water stove or declare it terminal. We live in Moore County - Carthage, NC.

If you bought it new it should still be under warranty, call your dealer.

Good friend of mine has a hardy h2 about 10 years old (bought used) that developed bad leak . He took it to Outsideheating in Rocky Mount VA.
They fixed his stove and he was pleased with their work

It depends, most often is stress cracking and hard to repair from what I've saw, most folks end up replacing the entire piece that's missing, usually the firebox.  Not a cheap repair

This guy is from the carthage area. I think he builds his own brand of furnace so he should know how to deal with it.
