Well I finally got my insulated pex in the ground. I was wondering how to figure the length of pex to leave out of the ground for hookups at the stove. I need to cut back the insulation and then the pex but how does one go about measuring for the length? I don't want to be telling one of those "I cut it twice and its still too short" stories . Am I overthinking this? Also do most people use 90 deg elbows where the pex comes through the wall or those sweeping bend brackets?

Depends on the stove buddy, we always leave way more than we need and once stove is in place I cut the outer pipe off inside the stove, slide it off, and then run each single pex line to its desired location and then cut it

Kinda what I was thinking, Scott. Sometimes I can't see the obvious.
Boy that 4-line pex was a bear to handle.
I hope to get the heat exchanger worked in next week. It will be winter before we know it

Haha, yes it's stiff but believe it or not it's not near as bad as some I've seen
