Title: Help with plate
Post by: Flyfishjt on September 27, 2013, 08:58:05 AM
Long time reader and thanks for all the info. I'm sure I will have a few more questions as I go forward with my install. I have this plate x and noticed that it has the flow rate per side but which side is which? And also I plan on running my indoor plumbing with pex but should I build my bypass with copper or do all in pex. Thanks

It doesn't make any difference which side you use for the boiler lines. Just connect to opposite ends on the same side. If you use Q1 for the boiler inlet then the boiler outlet would be Q2.

Thank you! I guess I it just struck me as funny that each side had a different flow rate if you look at the labeling. I'm think Q1 and Q2 is side 1 and Q3 an Q4 are side 2. Any pics of other people's bypasses on here? I tried to do a search but didn't see much.
