This is my preferred method of moving my firewood. That is a 1/2 cord on that pallet. I built them myself. Notice the counter weight in the bucket of the frontend loader. Roger

Shewwww, you really got those rear tires squattin!

That load weighs about 2000 pounds. My 3pth is rated at 2500 pounds. I agree, the rear tires do look a bit squashed but I also realized that even without a load on it, they are a bit under inflated. What's great about this set up is once the pallet is loaded, it stays that way until I burn the wood. No more handling the firewood 2 more times before burning it. Roger

wow nice pic Roger!..Thats def one way of moving wood..So is all your wood stacked on pallets like that?, Where you'll bring one pallet of wood to the furnace..Once that pallet is gone you'll bring another pallet?

If its close enough this or skidding it is my new favorite method, a good flat wagon still works too.

Yes, All of my wood is on pallets. I have 2 pallets next to the OWB at all times. All I do to keep the snow off of the wood is cover the top of it with plywood anchored with a couple of sheet rock screws. When one pallet empties, I replace it with one that is full. It sure as heck cuts down on the amount of times I handle the wood. All of the palletized firewood I'll be using this year is under cover to keep it dry. The plywood is to keep the snow of off the firewood while it sits outside waiting to be burned.
