Title: Damper door wont close HELP
Post by: tdombo on October 05, 2013, 06:02:03 AM
My stove was over heating and boiling with the temp set at 155.  The solenoid clunks but the damper doesn't budge.  My damper is located un the back of my stove underneath in the back of the ash pan.  I took off the coil hose that goes from my blower to the back the whole behind the damper and cleared it of any debris.  Still nothing and I could not get the damper to budge my pulling or pushing on it.  HELP

The door is most likely stuck from either rust or corrosion, try putting some heat to it with a torch and when you get it freed up spray it with some transmission fluid, it will outlast WD40 100 times over.
