Title: Rinnai
Post by: drpinard on October 05, 2013, 05:48:29 PM
Just bought a Central Boiler E2400. What is the best way to use hotwater with my Rinnai? Do I allow hot water to go through with a plate exchanger and hope it doesnt fire because of temperature going in? Any thoughts

You will probably need to use a strap on aquastat to disable it when there it hot boiler water.

My unit is piped directly to the boiler, no plate exchanger I set the boiler to the lowest temp it has 140 it never goes on because the CB keeps it hotter then that, my first year I turned the inside boiler off

Is your gas boiler plumbed primary secondary piping or are you trying to force 1 inch of water through a 1/2 inch port on your gas boiler, that normally does not work out well, is it a modulating boiler or does it run wide open on a call for heat, you should know this before you plumb it or you will soon need a service guy to come out and fix your mistakes, it may get expensive.
