I have had my 6048 for about 2 years now. I have noticed inthe last couple months the door handle is getting harder to open/close. It feels like a detent to get it in the fully closed postion and likewise to get it open. I know the door gaskets can wear, but I would expect that to make it looser. Any ideas what I need to do here. You have to give it a pretty good jerk to get it open and likewise to latch it shut. It doesn't seem to be leaking air. No over temp issues even on the hot days. Don't see anything obviouse around the seal area.

Mine did the same thing take some good grease (Red Grease) and put it on the door latch and the roller.
-
Try spraying the mechanism with transmission oil, you won't believe how much nicer it will work.

Thanks. I will give that a try tonight.

So I oiled both the top and bottom, then tried some lithium grease as well. Still feels the same. Do I need to adjust something?

Is the door gasket getting a thick coating of ceasote on it if so clean it.

Wd-40 on the door rope works wonders.

I had one of the roller bearings that locked up on mine. I had to replace it and the door latch worked much better after replacement and adjustment.

There is a nut and bolt on the bearing which is slotted loosen it up and adjust it in or out for the right tension, you need to do the top and bottom bearings not just one

Seems it just took a couple days. Now it is fine. Guess the oil needed time to penetrate.
