Title: Water temperature
Post by: MiHawkeye on October 09, 2013, 09:08:15 PM
What temp do you keep your water at in the boiler?  This is my first year running ours, and have been told anywhere from 140-160.  Any input?

Def not, especially if its a gasifier.   170-190 would be where I'd wanna stay with a gasser.  The internal environment is far different in a gasser and with water temps that low you are simply begging for a disaster.  Central, p and m, empyre, all recommend temps of 170 plus and all require a boiler protection system because even at that level, they still have thermo valves that keep return water over 140-150 depending on model.  There return water is required to be hotter than your supply or there warranty is void
