Check out the videos.  This is Josh McGuire in the blue 41.  I spent several years on the road helping out on the car and became really close to his family.  He sustained a broken c1 vertabrae but they expect him to make a full recovery but is still in the hospital.  This happened Saturday night at 201 speedway in Sitka, Ky.  Earlier that night he set a new track record of 12.51 on this 3/8 mile dirt track.

Looked almost like the track surface was to blame unless he broke something.

Not sure, we've not looked to see if something broke or not but for a dirt track, it was pretty good shape really, we've seem em way rougher.
