Outdoor Wood Furnace Info

Yesterday I was invited to a local sawmill by the owner, he had seen us at a show this summer and was interested in our chip boiler, after arriving and meeting the 60+ year old man, he told me that he was very impressed with our unit, he wanted me to see his working chip boiler that he has been using for 19 years to heat a portion of his mill. This man built his own chip boiler 19 years ago out of mostly scrap iron and plywood, I was very impressed with the units simplicity, cleanliness and durability, he thinks it might be time to upgrade, this is a man that has plenty of money to do as he wishes but just likes to tinker with stuff and make it work, he also built his own sawmill, edger and most of the equipment on property, my question is why can't we do this today? Answer- Because our Govt agencies aren't getting thier take on the savings and it does not justify thier job so they create laws prohibiting creation of new products that can change the way we live and work. If any state agency ever saw his setup, they would shut him down in a blink of an eye, not EPA or OSHA approved, and we wonder why we can't do buisiness here in THESE UNITED STATES, I would ask each of you to start thinking about reducing the size and power of our Govt. He will be upgrading to our chip boiler in the spring but for upgrading not to appease the powers.

amen slim, the government is way way over paid for one......they all need a hell of a lot more common sence....... these people need to to be woke up and see this stuff first hand not just read about it and sign a new law or bill to get rid of it... do to epa regulations and so on....they all need to make what we do and try to live...then they will see how important our boilers really are to us.....

Thanks guys, it is nice to know there are others out there that think the way we do, when I stop to think what it costs us to get a unit like the chip boiler ready for market, I do wonder how Brian can make any profit and in all honesty, why even bother.
