Title: what to use for gasket around chimney pipe
Post by: gully505 on November 23, 2013, 11:03:00 AM
Has anyone had to replace the gasket around the chimney coming out of the top of the wood stove?  I am using a heatmaster mf5000 and the gasket was damaged around the chimney pipe.  Would high temp silicone (500 degree+) work?  Using selkirk ultra high temp double walled insulated chimney.  Thanks!!

Thanks for the info, the original gasket looked like a type of silicone but didn't know if it was one that was available to the average joe or something only available for industrial use.
