In my other post I asked where good placed to buy plumbing parts online was and many good suggestions where given, now some of these prices seem to good to be true. I've been talking to the dealers that sell OWB and some are quoting $800 for a 100 plate heat exchanger, and I see the badger insulated pipe web site has them for $425, probably not the same manufacture but are they good quality or made in china?
1" pex oxy barrier is .82 cents/foot. Dealer is around $1.00.
38" stainless double wall sidearm is $133, dealer $120 for a copper one.
Has anyone regretted or found quality issues with items purchased online? Please share any bad experiences.
Also why on pexsupply 1" oxy barrier made by Rifeng for 300 feet is $194 and for 1" hePEX plus 300 feet its $525
Thanks, this site is great with many good people on it

As far as dealers vs. online retailers I would say that the online retailer can give you a better price because they make up the difference in volume. I have never had any quality issues from items purchased online. I think the difference in price for HePEX and Rifeng is the fact that HePEX conforms to every standard for heating applications under the sun while it looks like Rifeng hasn't been tested for any of those standards but Rifeng does come with a 25 year warranty. I payed about $1 a foot for the stuff I bought. Can't remember the manufacturer.

Its all over the board folks, there are a lot of people out there selling products, many of which I would not use myself.
with that being said, there is some good parts out there, but likely not the ones that are the rock bottom prices you see there

Ever checked into buying the parts right from the factory and skip the "middle man"? I'm able to buy all my parts, right from the factory direct..I have bought from over the internet i.e. www.altheatsupply.com (http://www.altheatsupply.com) Never had to problem..If your able to buy the exact part online that the dealer carries, and online is cheaper..Nothing wrong with buying online..Then then again you got to watch the shipping charges
