Here in Central NH its not quite as cold. It was 10* about an hour ago when I went to load up for the day. It is suppose to get down to -3* Monday night which will be the coldest and then we finally warm up. It has been unseasonably cold so far this year in NH. Temps have been averaging 10-15* below the averages for this time of year. I hope it gets warm soon. When it gets this cold stuff starts to break.

-7below with a-25 wind chill here N.W. Indiana=======Burrrrrrr

Yep, 0 where I live in Illinois as well. What part of Illinois do you live in?
-
-29 actual with -40+ windchill factor a couple of nights ago here in northern MN. Gives the stove a good workout
-
Swede, with temps like that how much wood do you have to load and how many hours are you going?
-
We had -26 for a few mornings recently here in MN. I'm in N Central MN. A little warmer than swede but not much. The wood pile has taken a pretty big hit that last 2 weeks...
-
Been - 20 during the day time highs and - 30at night for the last week straight.. First year using a owb.. Can already see my wood pile is no going to last the whole winter.. Not a good feeling
-
Brrrrrrr..... I'm glad it deosn't get that cold here!

Hondracer, How's that OWB running for you in these chilled temps? You had it warm this morning. I had 5F this morning. Here in the Upper Valley the temps tied for the coldest night so far. It's supposed to get around -4 to -5 later in the weekend. Plus, it looks like snow is on the way for the weekend. I hope it does, it'll provide some ground cover. Roger

We're supposed to get some snow tomorrow in central Illinois. They are calling for 3-5 inches. Just in time for deer hunting this weekend
-
Northern Illinois checking in at -7 last night and -23 wind chill. Brrrrrrr
-
South east Indiana- this morning 5:00am 7 degrees steady wind out of the west. Its cold!!
-
Roger, OWB is doing fine, just likes the wood at these temps. Loaded 5 pieces for a 12 hour run last night and came out after 14 hours and had a few coals left in the bottom. Water temp was at 138*. I usually can get by on 3-3.5 pieces per load this time of year. Hopefully we have some warmer than usual temps later in the year to make up for this.
-
I had a low of 7F this am.. Right now its 10F@ 5:12 pm..Im sure Ill beat the 7F that I had this am..That below 0 cold is just stupid cold lol..
-
-11 and falling was cold at work today but toasty in the house.
-
It's been below average up here in the wilderness of Maine. It's 4 out right now and the high today was 11.
It's supposed to be -5 tonite and 5 or 6 tomorrow.
I can also see my wood pile shrinking much faster than I thought it would.
Time to head out back and cut some yellow birch. I've got some monsters out there. They burn pretty damn good actually. Even green.

we were -3f this morning in northern ny may see -15f Friday night.... my thermo-control will be working in these colder temps....

I really know nothing about the Dahl except for the info on the front of the stove... And the fact that it's burning a ton of wood.. But hey its —38c and my house is warm..
