Just curious how often does your wood burner cycle?? I have a CB6048 that cycles about every 2-2.5 hour... I understand it depends on heat load. This is the rate@ 20f outside
What i'm heating: 3000 sqft house
1000sqft pole barn spray foamed
What's your rate??

I have never really paid too much attention to mine, but I would guess that it cycles about every hour or maybe even less than that. Only heating 1500 sq ft. There is some insulation missing off one side of my stove though. Oh well, it's just wood right?

Mine depends a lot on demand and temps outside. Heating 2200 square foot house and a 600 sq ft man cave with a basement. Usually cycles at least once every hour to hour and a half.

cycle times would have to do with everything from insulation of the home...difference in outside and inside temps, spread between aquastat temps and even capacity of the stove itself....you not happy with cycle times...well you have spent the money on a stove, now the money you save by not having to buy fuel you can spend on insualting the house or new windows ect. (things to make the home more comfortable....not beer!)

I am on board with AirForcoPOL; never really looked at how often the boiler goes, I am more concerned with how often I have to feed the beast. Typically twice a day, except for last week had some trouble with the in-slab not working, luckily the second floor heat worked so it kept the buliding warm enought to work in (still finishing interior, hanging doors, painting, installing cabinets and flooring). Once figured out issue (check valve in backward), that boiler was a rolling almost a constant plume of smoke, kept putting fire out

Im not sure about burn cycles. I do fill mine twic a day at 20*f .Im heating a 28x44 cape with cathredral ceilings and 9 foot walls.Also im missing doors and window trim. Maybe less beer and more doors and trim is in order. Less snowmobiling and motorcycle riding too for that matter.
