I have the taupe/bronze (CB e-Classic 2400), which unit were you looking at that they had the option of black?

Mine is grey and black it does have some sot on the front now :thumbup:

Hey Farmer, go with the black, they look great and hide the smoke stains above the door. I have a special ordered black Ridgewood Stove and love it. The standard green didn't match anything at my place.

yea i think im going to, i was looking for a picture of a black 6048 but cant find one anywhere, i searched google image and did not come up with anything either, thanks

I had the same problem.  Nothing other than green matched my boots I wear when loading the OWB.  :) :) :)

I have a black 5036, this is year 2 for it. Thats why I got it, to hide the smoke stain somewhat.

I got the color they had in stock cause it was cheapest and the project budget kept going up

I wouldnt buy black just because it hides the smoke stains. Contrast in color makes them look better. Smoke stains clean off with out much effort.  I got the grey with black trim and was able to put it under a carport that is the same colors.
