:bash: Where can I find a simple 1" ID steel weld in bung? Been all over the net ( the best I can ) and no luck. Thanks for any info.

For mine I got 1" couplings (Sch80? Think they were rated for gas use) and cut them in half with a bandsaw to make weld-in bungs.
Didn't buy them online but maybe you can find couplings on the net.

3/4 inch bushing or plug turned down slightly?

I've gotten thru Ferguson supply, national mechanical supply chain. If I need special material like stainless or aluminum the welding/fabricating shop also has them. Also you can salvage them from 75 gallon or larger water heaters at the scrap yard. 1"3/8" hole saw or grinder. Steel couplings are probably the easiest. Cast sometimes doesn't weld to good, but its doable. Can you use just a pipe nipple with male threads or do you have to have a bung.
