Alright folks, I know there are seperate discussions on many of the popular owb brands out there. But, have you clicked on the aqua-therm discussion? If you have you will notice there isn't a lot of activity in there. The closest dealer/service tech to me deals aqua-therm and I know that this is important. What are your guys thoughts? Next closest is prob an hour away.
I'm not trying to start a argument over which brand is best or worst. Just want to know if they're a quality brand. I'm new to this.
Thanks

Thanks, I may take you up on that offer down the road.
Oh, and I forgot to ask how to convince the wife to let me buy one? I've tried the money savings and endless hot water. She's still not convinced.

Don't ask the wife - Just buy it!!

GoodOlJeffy I bought my Aqua-Therm 275 in 2001, easy to set up, easy to maintain, takes only a few minutes to auger out the ashes (once every 2 weeks, every week if having -10 to -20F overnight for a week) and still had 14 hour burn time), very rarely overshoot the set water temp, huge fire door, didn't care what it was fed, very easy to start the fire with draft blower & most importantly, I've run it for almost 13 years before it sprung it's first water leak last week. The only thing I had to replace was the draft blower 2 years, still the original Taco pump on it, changed out the gasket once every 2 years, an easy do.

I don't own an Aqua-Therm but ask if you can contact any of his customers.
I'm sure they will give you a list.
