Cool video. My BL looks similar to that when the ash pan gets full at the front and the flames are raging at the back except my fire isn't upside down. lol

I hear ya.. I took a video Sunday with my phone and spent an hour trying to figure out how to post it with no luck I was just so happy to show off the ex temp under full burn at 225 degrees... I have only seen 300 once all winter on the therm slim installed in the stack. But I'm a finatic about cleaning it. The old lady thinks I'm having an affair I spend so much time at the boiler...

That could be a P&M gasser slogan: "Home of the Upside Down Fire"  :-\ ..... :bag:

I wish you could have seen that brick right below the flame, it was glowing red. I-pod didn't pick it up, guess I wouldn't want too either. Randy how do you like your Bota? I had one that size a few years ago, sold it for the 5640.

Nice job Coolidge, You've got to show me how you first held the camera so steady and second how you posted it.

Coolidge I love the tractor so far it's taken me a little bit to get used to the glide shift but after moving copious amounts of snow this winter I've got the
Hang of it . Now I can see I'm gonna be in search of a tiller soon .. It came with a hog a rock rack and a grader blade which is good since I have a lot of road/driveway here that I always did have to hire my niebor to grade every spring to get rid of the pot holes. But I really want a farmy winch so if any one knows of a good used one in maine please let me know.

Coolidge,
Is this how well your Optimizer gasifies all the time?  I have been burning mine now for 3 weeks and it rarely looks this good or as good as other videos I have watched.  I am burning hard maple and red oak that I cut, split and stacked in January of 2012.  I may have to adjust my air flow settings.

Nice video.  Every time I go out to fire mine I wonder why I didn't put one in sooner.   I guess the good thing about waiting was discovering Portage & Main.  I had not heard of them until I found this sight(even before talking with Slimjim or the home office).  The icing on the cake was Sunday when the oil truck pulled into the yard and I told the driver he could come back in May to top the tank off for the summer.

Yes last year it ran very good, actually used two less cord than the year before. I did have my air cut way back. I think it is out two on the top and one and half on the bottom. This year I have more heat load and am running three complete turns out on the top and two on the bottom.

Cooking with gas, nice video coolidge, The flame isn't even the impressive part, coolidge had some real issues with his unit early on, he has worked through them, Thanks for your patience coolidge! Look at the walls of the reaction chamber, see any sign of creosote

As I watch the video, why am I compelled to make the following announcement?  "Ladies and Gentlemen, we'll be taking off in a couple of minutes so please fasten your seat belts, lean back, relax and enjoy the ride."   :)  Roger

There is NO creosote at all in my reaction chamber, dam hot down there. I will try and get another video tonight, got some nice blue gasses burning.
