Title: Sequoya 3400
Post by: rims421 on March 04, 2014, 05:57:05 PM
Someone selling a Sequoya 3400 wood boiler that was purchased new but never installed.
Asking price is 8k. (paid 12k new) Any opinions on these units? It's been listed for quite awhile and I wonder if the price is to high.
I did an internet search and could not find any dealers for this brand.
Any info would be appreciated.

I sold a bunch of them while they were building them, they sold out to Royal and Royal then discontinued them. They have their quirks but all in all a very good boiler, $8000 is a very good price for it, just be aware they are prone to firebrick erosion but the design makes it easy to replace or upgrade the design, it is a sectional boiler, the first OWB that I ever saw that was.

that is the larger of the 2 units they produced.
I have the 3300 and other than easily replaced bricks, it works well.
Slim has answered questions for me seeveral times, with I believe complete accuracy.

Thanks for the info.
I am assuming that I would be on my own as far as customer service since they are no longer in business. And also are parts still available for these units if needed?
