Title: Heating with OWB fired with high density partical board
Post by: crankshaftdan II on April 04, 2014, 06:11:33 PM
Anyone out there using/have used in the past?  Was wondering what type of unit would be able to fire and burn off all the binders used to hold it together?  Basically this is pressed sawdust with epoxy binders.  Have seen it for sale as cheap as 3500#/$90.00-you have to haul from their mfg. facility.  Might be able to mix with good dry oak/maple to get thru those cold days when three loads are needed?  Mfgr. claims 8 to 10% moisture content?? ::) :-\

Guys it's full of glue and crap, what you burn, your kids and neighbors breathe, PLEASE don't burn that in your OWB, no good will come from it!

Yeah let's give the EPA one more reason to shut down the OWB.

What he said.

I might try burning old tear off shingles. I hear you can get them for free... :bash:
