Can anyone tell me the height of the door from the bottom of the legs or ground level of the bl 28-44? I would like to know if I have to raise the boiler for a comfortable loading height.
-
The door sill is at 32" from the ground. The bottom of the firebox is about 14" below the sill. I am 6' tall and it is ok for loading height, my problem is more when scraping down any creosote it is harder to get the top and rear surfaces cleaned.

Thanks Crow, I was just about to walk down to my display and measure it, you saved me the trip!

Thanks, I just wanted to get a idea about the height before the boiler was delivered.

You are able to display the boilers, but not burn them?
-
Only if it is a shaker grate to burn coal only, I know I'm still scratching my head on that one as well!

Thats funny, growing up we burned coal and it had a stinking smell. Wood burning to me does not smell as bad.

Lots of benefits to burning wood rather than coal here in the northeast!

To All,
I use the same coat to fill the wood furnace, I love the smell of it! Sometimes folks ask me if I smoke. LOL
