So, it was 29 degrees this morning in my corner of NH. I went out to put a couple of logs in the OWB for the day. Everyday I leave the house, I'm always on the lookout for skunks, etc... looking food. This morning however, as I exit the house a deer was no more than 10 feet from the door and me. I think I was as startled to see it as it was of me. I jumped, it let out a "blat" and took off for the wood. Man I think it took a good 10 minutes for my heart rate to slow to normal. Now, I wonder why I never see them that close to the house during hunting season? Roger

Really nice to see that isn't it Roger, my wife and I saw 4 three times this spring early in the AM about 50 feet from the back of the house standing on the ledge looking hungry
