Well today I shut down the OWB for the summer season.. Tomorrow if I get a change Ill clean her out and brush the stack…Put a bucket on top and spread some moth balls around..And then call it good lol.. I gotta say this years winter was the most Ive ever burned for wood..Im sure a lot on here burned quit a bit than normal.. Hopfully this coming winter won't be as bad lol..Now its time to fill the pole shed back up..Grapple load is all cut..I got a few rows already split and stack..Still got a ways to get done..But it will go quick.. 8)

I'll be putting mine to bed this week. I have the week off from work. I simply cringe at the thought of hearing the oil burner running. Anyway, the OWB served me well this long, cold and brutal winter. The house was always warm and plenty of hot-water. Roger

I am planning on shut down this week also, would have done it today but I overfilled yesterday and I have too much left inside, oh well I will get it done after work this week. I have the wood shed a bit over half full and lots laying in the woods ready to pick up, hoping to beat the bugs but it's getting close now. Like almost everyone else I burned more this year, makes a person want to cut up more for next year, it surprises me how much I usually have left compared to this year.
