Title: Unceasing in PVC
Post by: Curado74 on May 19, 2014, 07:29:44 PM
I will be placing my insulated pipe in another few weeks.  I only have 35 feet to house and have to go through a "seep" that drains a large part of my yard.  I'm thinking of I casing the 6 inch pipe (5 layer wrap) in 8 inch PVC and gluing tight to protect it from puncture and water infilltration.  Anyone done this.  Will cost @ another $100 but makes sense for extra protection.

Every little bit helps. It should also help the insulating value some as well since you'll be both crating a dead air space around the insulated pipe and keeping the cold wet ground from making direct contact with it.
