Finally might get a year ahead anyway, bought ten cord for 180.00 cord, cut(24") split, delivered.
Most of the bark is peeled right off, will get it stacked and covered as it is delivered.

I had to buy some wood to fill out what I needed for winter and maple syrup, two years ago, 4 cords cut and split delivered was $285. a cord, all hardwood. A single cord would have been $300. Your price is remarkable. You bought at a good time, probably for both buyer and seller.
Still felt good to get it under cover as it was delivered.

I'm about to do the same thing and order a truck load of hardwood, going price here is $1200 for a 12 cord load in 8' lengths. I have always cut my own and nearly have a full shed now but I want to get ahead after the severe winter we had exhausted our reserve. I also had a medical problem this last winter that made me think I had best get a little cushion but I do plan to keep cutting my own so that we can make this load of wood last a few years.

I order my wood every year. It ranges from 110 to 130 a cord here in 8 ft lengths.

I get a grapple load every other year. My supplier guarantees 11 cord per load but the last 2 loads were 12 1/2 and 13 1/2 respectively for $1200.00 per load. Roger
