Southern socialist state of Maine!!!!!!!!!
I know you've said Maine is a socialist state many times on this..Why do you live in Maine if you feel that way? Just curious.. I know Maine taxes you on everything..Which benefits New Hampshire..

Great Question Matty, Thank you for asking, most folks simply dismiss that statement with ( Oh he's just a grumpy old fart ). In reality, I was born and lived here all my life' I have seen this state go from a pretty self reliant, self supporting one that uses common sense and neighborly love of one another to support ourselves to a state that has completely flipped to a big brother loving, steal from the working class, close the mills, create rules to protect the ignorant and lazy one. Again I have seen the change, I don't like it, but that doesn't mean that I won't do all I can by speaking my mind to return it to a good place to live. Our state motto is Vacationland, I don't want my kids to HAVE to change bedsheets and wait tables for a living but rather have a choice to turn wrenches, Drive a truck, work in a paper mill or own their OWN business, Government overreach and regulation make these things very difficult, I hope that makes sense. In hindsight I more than likely would have been far better off moving to a more LIBERTY minded state such as yours many years ago but lets just call it being stubborn and refusing to give up what I had as a young man.

Thanks for the answer Slim.. I get what  your saying.. You being a native Mainer.. Not giving up on your state.. Sounds like some state reps needs to be voted out.. I hear ya on the lazy one.. So ridiculous.. It's not just Maine it's every state.. I think this falls election will be interesting

Hey straton, my wife is originally from Long Island, she tries hard to not show her accent as it's not well accepted here but still pronounces it LonGisland if you know what I mean. I know she's the best thing I ever brought back from Long Island.
