Title: need help!
Post by: 12valve on September 23, 2014, 12:22:51 PM
I plumbed the back of my wood boiler in with 1" copper.  My plan was to just connect the copper directly to my underground pipe via sharkbite.  Unfortunately my underground is Pex-al-pex,  The sharkbite will not work on the Pex-al-pex because of its larger diameter.

How can I hook my copper to my Pex-al-pex??????????? :o

We have copper X Pex al pex at the office, Ruth can send them right to you, it is the same fitting for Logstor.

Thanks Slim,  That is what I need.   What kind of connection is it(crimp, shark, compression?).

I am assuming you mean Ruth at the P&M office in Canada?

Yes it is and where did you get the pipe, from us or a stateside retailer as the stuff in Canada is slightly larger, let Ruth know which one.

The Pipe came from Hawkin.  It is what they sell as there underground.  Beyond that I have no idea where it came from.  I may replace it in the next few years.  But right now it is what I am dealing with.
